Laminated Panels:

The substrate (generally wood) goes through the glue spreader and into one of the three presses. The presses hold unit quantities for approximately 30 minutes. The load or unit is taken out and left to cure for 24 hours. We only use a type one catalyzed PVA water based adhesive. In one eight-hour shift 700 panels can be laminated.

Top Coated Melamine Paper:

· Monco Paper Laminator

Top coated melamine paper is a melamine-impregnated paper, saturated with resins, with a pre-glued back. This Decorative Paper product is generally used as a cost effective alternative to HPL liner, and is available in solids and wood grains. The paper is applied with heat to the substrate or material. Over 1,000 panels can be fabricated in one eight-hour shift.

Computerized Panel Saw:

All cut-to-size orders, either rectangles or squares are fulfilled on the panel saw. Labeling of material is available, including bar-coding, right off the saw. After material optimization, the cut list information is transmitted to the saw via computer.

CNC Routers:

The Komo CNC has a 5' x 8' table with multi-tool changer. It has 3-axis capability, 32 millimeter boring and horizontal boring capability. All drawings have to be in AutoCAD format, in order for the data to be transferred to the router. We are currently using AutoCAD 14 Mechanical Desktop. The Busellato also utilizes AutoCAD and is primarily a point-to-point drilling machine center, but also functions as a secondary router. There are many possibilities with its 4' x 10' table and 10 tool changer.

Edgebander:

PVC, Melamine, Veneer, HPL strips and Solid Wood trim straight edges can be applied. Edges can be applied from .018" to 1" in thickness. The Holz-her can work with substrate up to 2.3 inches thick. It can produce radius and rounded corners and surface grooving. The bander is also equipped with a form trimming unit and profiler.
