Chemclad Corporation is recognized as the industry leader for quality and service. We are large enough to have the buying power of Distribution, and small enough that action can be taken  immediately. Chemclad is an OEM manufacturer, which enables our customers to deal direct with the manufacturer. There is no middleman. Information and service are a phone call or e-mail away. Chemclad supplies other manufacturers, it does not work with the end-user or assemble parts. We do one thing and do it well, laminated panels and component parts. 

History:

Chemclad was established in 1983 by Charles L. Walters and wife Virginia.  Chemclad is privately owned by Mr. Walters and is a 100% internally financed operation.  

Mr. Walters has been in manufacturing for the past sixty years.  He is former Vice President of Pioneer Plastics and Sales Manager for Formica Corporation.  He worked for Saint Regeis Paper Company when he opened a new manufacturing facility in Quebec, Canada.  In the early 1970’s, after 30 years in corporate life, he went into business for himself, forming Bourne Industries in Corunna, Michigan.  He took his knowledge and contacts and carved out a niche industry as a lay-up facility. The Michigan company was so successful that he opened Chemclad Corporation in central Florida.

Vendor Information:

Chemclad maintains excellent relationships with its vendors.  We deal directly with all the major manufacturers in the industry.  Including Formica, Wilsonart, Nevamar, Pionite, Laminart and the major wood/substrate mills.  When a customer requests a new kind of substrate, Chemclad purchases materials directly from the OEM to insure the best price and most efficient service. 

Customers:

Chemclad Corporation has two basic types of customers, marine and OEM.  For the past 14 years Chemclad has been supplying the marine industry, from yachts, sailboats, and powerboats, to cruise ships.  The OEM customers include the entertainment industry, distribution networks, cabinetmakers, millwork fabricators, the furniture industry, casework and bowling alley contractors.

Territory:

Chemclad has a global presence, with a strong customer base throughout the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean, and is growing.
